I
can keep up this pretense of weak green tea for a few hours but come
11am and my British colonial comes upand I have to dowse it with some
good old Indian tea from the plantations!
Out comes the the sugar tongs and the fine bone
china. To hell will zen monks - I need a little cuppa of Earl Grey!!
Earl Grey was named for a British diplomat ....
History
Silver tray
Just as you got into the whole bamboo tray and
Yixing clay pots - now we get into English bone china cup and saucers
and a silver pot! There is something special about being served on a
silver tray, so do it yourself!
Manners can make a moment.
Just as you got past the bitter taste of green tea,
so you must sip your way past the black. Just say no to milk and sugar.
Its a protestant punishing thing!
