The day I started my CPA training with Arthur Andersen (Scotland) was the day I started to plan my escape! 

One of the several articles I wrote for The Accountancy Magazine was about why you should get out of Accountancy! 

I quit the firm in 1990 (I saw that whole Enron thing coming!!) after I realized that life was simply too short to audit! Curious that an independent consultant would have more job security than those  who stayed with one of the largest accountancy firms!!
