Whisky Ambassador -
In 1990, Jeremy Bell closed the books
on a career accounting and aptly cracked open a bottle of whisky to toast
his new direction. After a stint in journalism as a whisky journalist
for Decanter Wine Magazine, he went on to present whisky tasting. The
Glenlivet company tapped him in 1993 to become Brand Ambassador for their
whiskies. Now Jeremy travels the country, attending eighty tastings a year
for the "This Is the Chivas Life" tour. To get his typical
audience into the spirit of things, Bell dons a kilt and plays the
bagpipes. With gusto, he offers the group a crash course in Scotch 101,
wetting their whistles with a Chivas cocktail, and then talking them
through five different whisky tastings. Explaining the subtleties of
scotch, he illuminates the difference between single malts and blends and
illustrates how whisky should be served, sipped and savored. Bell likes to
say that he got out the accountancy abyss and into beverage bliss. Previous
