It's
Not Your Ticket!
The
most important thing is not your ticket for you cannot loose an 'e-ticket'.
Nowadays, the most important thing is your ID. No License - no fly!
Not
Your Credit Card!
The
second most important thing is not your credit card for if you loose it,
you are only liable for $50 (and apparently they rarely charge this if
you call the loss in!!)
For the Frequent
Flier, the second most important thing is your Luggage Sticker! If you
loose that, you can't get you luggage out of some airports or claim it
as a lost bag.
Nor
is it Cash!
You
can get cash out of that 'hole-in-the-wall', but your ticket receipt is
a huge chunk of cash on your expense report! Therefore, before you leave
the gate, you must remember to ask for two of them. Take them out of that
ugly ticket envelope and hide it away in your bag with your luggage receipts.

Tips From The Flying Scotsman

Tip
#1
-
Never
hand over your ID at the ticket counter. Hold it up to show your picture,
read off your FF numbers that you have written on the back! Same with
your wallet - Make it a habit never to let it touch anything but your
pocket lining!
Tip
#2
-
Keep
an Emergency Wallet inside your luggage that contains the following:
- a duplicate
drivers ID. You can buy one on the net for $15. Web search 'Department
of Motor Vehicles' in your area.
- a second
Credit Card (from a different credit company) so that you can cancel
your lost one and still use the second! Ask them to put your picture
on it.
- cash,
a pre-paid phone card with emergency numbers taped to the back (but
you have that anyway right?!)
